Saturday saw our firsts play their first game at home. With a couple of regulars unavailable for selection, they relied on the depth of their squad. Which saw the first game of the season for Becca H, Kirsty B and Evie T. Kirsty F was called back into the squad (after the birth of Louis) and they were able to offer a debut to Poppy G.

Coupled with a change of formation to accommodate the change in personnel, a slow start would be forgiven and they found themselves 1-2 down at half time despite season debutant Evie T levelling the score at 1-1.

Starting the second half strongly, Stokesley secured a second equaliser from the Captain Nicola H via a trademark thunderbolt shot from a short corner.

Displaying the grit and determination that is this teams hallmark, Stokesley continued to push for a third goal to seal the victory, only to be unstuck by two counterattack goals in quick succession that gave a 2-4 score line that flattered the Lindum Ladies as Stokesleys performance and effort certainly deserved something out of the game.
