The team were amazing!
From the back to the front the girls stepped up to the challenge but not only that progressed and started to play some excellent hockey.
Staggsy was great in goal when called upon even though our D was quiet for big parts of the game. Hannah, Cara and Poppy were very composed at the back, so composed it shocked me at times how far they have come this year! Kyra, Annabel, Izzie, Summer and for a short time Alice were excellent in the wide half positions, this is one of the hardest positions to learn with the constant changing in focus from defence to attack and left to right. Elise, Millie and Nicole started to link up in the midfield and are beginning to understand what their roles are in the middle of the pitch, pulling the strings and controlling the match. Lexie, Alice, Evie, Zara and Sophie are starting to take on board that they ae not right, left and centre forward but a team up front that need to work together to create chances.
Goals - Lexie (2), Sophie and Millie.
